In July 2026, NISSIMOU welcomed Aline Ledoux, founder of LES RAACONTEUSES, to Spetses for hands-on training in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), strengthening local expertise and support for children with diverse communication needs.

Speech Therapy is now available on Spetses Island. On September 20, 2025, NISSIMOU presented its new SLT program to five local families, with certified therapist Zoi Fostini explaining the importance of Speech and Language Therapy, the role of parents, and the benefits of MAKATON. Five children will now receive weekly therapy on the island—an important step for access and inclusion.

NISSIMOU offers a free, play-based early intervention program for children aged 2–5, helping families strengthen connection, emotional understanding, and confidence through guided play.
