Sometimes, even the smallest gestures can carry a meaningful message.

During the summer of 2026, NISSIMOU introduced a special collection of handmade bracelets on the island of Spetses, bringing together creativity, volunteering and awareness of neurodiversity.

More than a summer accessory, each bracelet offered a simple way to support NISSIMOU's mission and celebrate the many different ways people experience the world.

Handmade with Care on Spetses

The bracelets were lovingly handcrafted on Spetses by Mrs. Pascale Ecarot, a French jewellery designer and NISSIMOU volunteer.

Featuring colourful fish charms, each piece reflected the spirit of the initiative: celebrating differences and recognizing the value of every individual.

Through her creativity and generosity, Pascale contributed to a project that connected a personal act of volunteering with the wider mission of NISSIMOU.

Different Minds, One Inclusive Community

At the heart of the initiative was a simple message:

"Just as the sea is home to many different fishes, the world is home to many different kinds of minds!"

Just as marine life takes many different forms, human minds are diverse, each with its own strengths, perspectives and ways of experiencing the world.

The bracelets offered an opportunity to share this message beyond the NISSIMOU centre, encouraging conversations about neurodiversity, understanding and inclusion.

By celebrating differences rather than overlooking them, we can help create communities where everyone feels recognised, respected and included.

A Small Gift Supporting a Bigger Mission

Throughout the summer, the bracelets gave supporters an opportunity to contribute to NISSIMOU while sharing a message of acceptance.

The initiative reflected the importance of community involvement and the many ways individuals can support a non-profit organisation — through their time, creativity, skills or contributions.

For NISSIMOU, initiatives like this are part of a broader commitment to supporting children and families on Spetses and building a more inclusive island.

Every Contribution Matters

The summer bracelet initiative was a reminder that supporting inclusion does not always require a grand gesture.

A handmade creation, a volunteer's generosity or a simple conversation about neurodiversity can all contribute to greater awareness and connection within a community.

Small acts of kindness can carry a powerful message — and together, they can help make inclusion part of everyday life.

Be Part of the Difference

Pascale's contribution is a reminder that everyone has something valuable to offer. Whether through creativity, professional skills or simply giving your time, volunteering can make a meaningful difference.
